YOGYAKARTA Now is Different with the Past

Yogyakarta is the name of one city in Indonesia which is still included in Java Island. It is famous as ‘City of the student’ and also known as ‘city of culture’ because it has so many cultures which are traditional and famous in Indonesia or even in other countries. However, Yogyakarta nowadays is different with Yogyakarta in the past, for example, when we talk about Malioboro as one of tourism object in Yogyakarta. This place is clean, surrounding with many trees, there is still many ‘Delman’ or ‘Andong’ as the transportation of Yogyakarta’s people in majority at the past.

Different with Malioboro in presents, it is very dirty with so many trashes, the trees is almost gone where the buildings are more and more dominant. The vehicles are always being the usual panorama when you visit Malioboro at this time, and you must to be careful when you want to cross the street. Now, andong or delman are just the device to attract the tourist to take a look around Maloboro area. In that place, there are also many vendors beside the road which offer their wares such as, ring, clothes from ‘batik’, sculptures, foods, bracelet, shoes, and many others thing. However when you want to buy those things, you must thrust in walk with other visitors and take your wallet carefully.

Though Malioboro is different from time to time, but it is depends on people who thinks that the changes might be better or not, since Malioboro still being the place for many people from Yogyakarta or other place to get money for live.

I think Malioboro is just one riches of Yogyakarta which very popular as a tourism objects while it still has many other places as tourism object, and especially for attract tourists with so many kind of culture, the kindness of the people, and the panoramas.
